Inter plan mega deal for Ranocchia -
March-04-10
Inter feel that they can get Genoa to part with Andrea Ranocchia by offering three players in exchange this summer.
The Nerazzurri are looking to replace veteran centre-back Marco Materazzi and the 21-year-old Ranocchia is their No 1 target after having a fantastic first half of the season for Bari.
Inter enjoy a good relationship with Genoa thanks to the business they did together last season.
The two parties struck a huge part-exchange deal that saw Diego Milito and Thiago Motta move to San Siro for a number of youngsters, including the highly rated Robert Acquafresca.
Il Secolo XIX believes Inter will try and repeat the trick at the end of the season, sending top academy prospects Matteo Destro and Rene Krhin to Marassi in part of an elaborate swap for Ranocchia.
Veteran goalkeeper Francesco Toldo might also be involved in the deal as he looks increasingly likely to become surplus to requirements if Inter sign Luca Castellazzi from Sampdoria as expected.
Genoa will also apparently insist upon keeping Honduran striker David Suazo who is currently on loan at Marassi.
