Trap backs Mou in Europe -
March-04-10
Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has backed Jose Mourinho to emulate Helenio Herrera and win the European Cup with Inter.
The Nerazzurri have a 2-1 aggregate lead going into their second leg against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on March 16.
Asked if he had any advice for Mourinho, Trapattoni said: “Well, I have one: in the second leg I would play the Balotelli card.
“I understand that the lad has a difficult character, but he is a phenomenal player. He is a giant with delicate feet.
“Mario is the right man to beat Chelsea. Inter have an important but not decisive advantage. They have to go and knock Chelsea out in London. That way they will show all of Europe that the music has changed.
“President Moratti can now really focus on lifting the Champions League.”
Trap also doesn't see Inter losing the Scudetto despite having their lead cut to just four points.
“It's the same record. Inter are the strongest. They want to win and will win,” he concluded.
